My Bristol Favourites: Maisie Williams
Maisie Williams, best known for playing Ayra Stark in smash HBO drama Game of Thrones, visited St Bonaventure’s Catholic Primary School in Bishopston this week to run a workshop for children on recognising abuse. She later attended a ball to help raise money for the NSPCC.
Nineteen-year-old Williams was born in Bristol and grew up in Clutton. She made her professional acting debut in Game of Thrones – in which she was nominated for an Emmy earlier this year – and has since appeared in Doctor Who and critically-acclaimed film The Falling.
