These are Olivia’s top-five Bristol favourites:
Old Market

The Stag & Hounds pub was the location of the Court of Pie Poudre, dating back to the Middle Ages, which dealt with disputes that arose in the market ranging from thefts to disagreements between merchants – photo: Martin Booth
“I had to start with Old Market! My home for the last six years and home to our office for the last few years as well. There are so many lovely independents to be found in this underrated area. We have lots of tasty options for lunch with some of my favourite independents nearby… FED 303, Jafra, Chido Wey and 25a Old Market to name a few. Plus, when I need a birthday present in a hurry I can always stop by Good Store Studio or Prior Shop to pick up the perfect gift.”
Shake, Wrap & Roll

“If you know me personally, you’ll know I LOVE Shake, Wrap & Roll on Cheltenham Road. Owned by the lovely Glenn, they create the biggest and best wraps in Bristol, as voted by me and the audience we have over at IN Bristol. My favourite thing to order is the spicy chicken and onion bhaji wrap with lots of lovely salad, plus lemon and coriander and hot chilli sauce. Interesting combination on paper but the ultimate treat for the tastebuds.”
Finzels Reach Market

“Just a short (and lovely) walk from our office, I love visiting Finzels Reach Market on a Wednesday or Friday lunchtime. They’re home to some of my street food faves like Murray Mays, Gurt Wings, Niangs Thai or Fat Rice. The best thing is the everchanging list of independents to enjoy.”
Sunday General

Have you even been to Clifton Village recently if you don’t have a Sunday General tote bag? – photo: Martin Booth
“Located on Boyce’s Avenue in Clifton Village, Sunday General is stacked with treats and essentials from independent and small-batch producers. They are an independent store and bakery that celebrate slow living, neighbourhood shopping and supporting small suppliers and producers who have purpose bigger than profit. I love visiting on a Saturday morning to pick up produce for the weekend, along with a treat or two. And it’s perfect for gifts for foodie friends too!”
King Street

“There’s nothing better than sitting on King Street in the sunshine with a pint of cider. When the sun is shining, arriving here by foot to see and hear the buzz is the ultimate mood booster for me!”
