These are Peta’s top-five Bristol favourites:
Bakehouse

“I love this bakery! Bakehouse is tucked away in St Philip’s but is super popular and that’s because their eats and treats and coffee are delicious. When I’m working close by I often ‘forget’ to bring my lunch and just have to pop in for nourishment.”
The Wardrobe Theatre

“Not only is the Wardrobe Theatre the home of Bristol’s best local theatre with shows for adults and kiddies alike, it’s also at the back of the Old Market Assembly so if you get there early you can have amazing sourdough pizza and wine. Hoorah! I think my biggest belly laughs have been here.”
Bristol Zoo Project
“I like to take my kids to Bristol Zoo Project to gawk at the zebras and giraffes who live ten minutes away. Also, as I have membership, I can just go by myself without two small people who ask for snacks a lot and just walk around, sit by some gelada baboons and breathe some calming breaths.
My mate Andy’s house

“No, this isn’t any old Andy, this is TV’s Andy Clarke who can be found educating Alan Titchmarsh on cocktails and wine on a Sunday morn. His house in Almondsbury is not far from me, has amazing views and – for some reason – the sun always shines there and makes me feel like I’m on holiday. When I mentioned I wanted to add his house to my Bristol24/7 favourite five places, Andy said ‘of course!’ and informed me the house is on the market – so check it out! Ha!”
The Wave

“Where else would you go with the family to dump the car then roller boot, scoot or cycle 1km to reach your destination? After we’ve tackled the massive driveway at The Wave in Easter Compton, we usually just watch the surfers with a well-earned drink. The place has such happy beach vibes and makes my soul smile!”
