Here are Pete’s top-five Bristol favourites:
Peregrine Point, Circular Road, The Downs
“When I’m guiding on the open top bus it’s the place where visitors always gasp and I still do too. It’s only two miles from the centre of the city and offers stunning views of the Bristol Channel, Wales, the Avon Gorge and miles and miles of lovely countryside. Stunning views.”

The Botanic Garden
“Bristol’s hidden gem and oasis. The University of Bristol’s Botanic Garden is tranquil and beautiful and is a lovely green oasis to visit, sit, learn, reflect and relax.”
St Nick’s Market
“An eclectic mix of old and new, hustle and bustle, snack food and banquet food with all of the sights, sounds and beautiful fragrances of the world all in one exciting market where it appears you can buy and experience everything from a bicycle puncture repair kit to a gurt lush t-shirt!”
Bristol Hippodrome
“I always say that I could sit here with nothing on and still have a good time, but that doesn’t bear thinking about! What I mean is it’s such a beautiful building that I am enthralled from the moment I walk in, and then, there’s the marvellous shows.”
Mud Dock
“Sitting on the deck at Mud Dock watching the world go by and the sun go down with a lovely cold pint of cider in my had after a busy day is just bliss.”
