Here are Steve’s top-five Bristol favourites:

Kings Weston House

Kings Weston House is a fabulous period building that has been turned into a dynamic arts and social event hub by the current owner, Norman Routledge. We love putting on shows and music events here.”

Kuch

“Bristol is blessed with so many wonderful restaurants, but my favourite over the last year or two is probably Kuch, a wonderful purveyor of ‘southern Persian soul food’ on Whiteladies Road. The food is never less than mindblowing.”

The Blaise / Kings Weston estates

Blaise Hamlet

“I am a great walker, and I love nothing more than doing the trails around the two great estates on the edge of Bristol which are both crisscrossed with paths through lovely woods and along gorgeous valleys. Fab cafes at both ends too.”

The Gasworks Studio, St Werburgh’s

The Gasworks Studio is a beautifully laid out, exquisitely lit room with access to a gorgeous garden, available for hire and community use. Home to the fabulous Gasworks Choir, we use it as often as we can for events and meetings because people feel better just being there!”

Tobacco Factory Theatres

“We have a relationship going back almost 20 years with this fantastic theatre. We in fact put on one of the very first performances at the Tobacco Factory Theatre back in 2001 when it was very rough and ready! George Ferguson has been a staunch supporter of our company throughout that time. We are thrilled to be part of another show there with The Stranger on the Bridge.”
