This month, we are hosting the first event in our latest Bristol24/7 presents 2021 series. The first event will be held during Mental Health Awareness week and is focused on burnout and mental health in the workplace.
Join us on Thursday 13th May, where we will be joined by leading experts in the field.
The panellists for the first event in this series are:
is needed now More than ever
- Jess Borthwick, Changes Bristol
- Bianca Jones, a qualified Mental Health First Aid England instructor
- Camilla Rigby, co-founder of the Women’s Work Lab
- Daisy Roach, Head of HR at Better Food
In this free virtual event Safiya Bashir – a member of the Bristol24/7 editorial team – will host the panel discussion to examine some of the challenges facing employers and staff and best practices for promoting wellbeing, a healthy work-life balance and support for mental health.
Click here to register for free and we will send you all the information you need to join us live on the day.

We also launched our Bringing Bristol Together campaign. We asked you to share what kept you going over lockdown – and you delivered.
Thank you to everyone who sent in their videos, which we’ve compiled to create our campaign film that you can watch here:
We hope you enjoy watching the entries as much as we did! If you have a video you wanted to share, it’s not too late to take part. Simply post it on your socials and @Bristol247, and use the hashtag #BringingBristolTogether and we’ll share as many of them as we can!
Bristol24/7 is also pleased to announce Forest Avon Trust as the new charity we are supporting this quarter. The Forest Avon Trust plant and care for trees, focussing on the wide-ranging benefits they bring – for health and quality of life, air quality, flood prevention, biodiversity, recreation, soil quality and many others.
Here at Bristol24/7, we are excited to support the trust through our public and business memberships in the form of a free marketing package, exposure on the Bristol24/7 platforms and collaborating with our business community.

And finally, we are very pleased to announce the return of the Young Chef project. Since autumn 2017, the Young Chefs project has developed into a bi-annual 12-week course aimed at young people who aren’t at work or in other education. The course, which is returning, delivers practical qualifications, invaluable experience and has directly led to graduates gaining permanent employment in the industry.
