What’s happening with Better Bristol? – September 2020

By Caitlin Bowring  Thursday Sep 10, 2020

Bristol24/7 is committed to providing an inclusive platform that amplifies the voices of underrepresented communities.

Our work experience programme is open to everyone, no matter what level of experience or background. Earlier this year we ran a project to tackle the lack of diversity in the film industry. In July we launched the community reporters project to give budding journalists paid work with on-the-job training covering hyper-local news where they live.

But there is still so much more we can do.

Independent journalism
is needed now More than ever
Keep our city's journalism independent. Become a supporter member today.

That’s why on Wednesday 30 September we’re launching the Bristol24/7 Presents… virtual events series, and our first event is dedicated to how Bristol’s creative industries can work together to lead the way in creating an inclusive future for the city.

Bristol24/7 Presents… will be a series of discussions on Bristol’s future, with practical tips and advice for the city to take action. This event will help to shape the future of our community reporters project, and will include a session for those looking to get into the creative industry led by boomsatsuma.
