A giant art celebration for Cricket World Cup
Over the bank holiday weekend, the people of Bristol will have an opportunity to get up close and personal with the ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup as a huge sculpture of a cricketer will be created and assembled in Millennium Square,Bristol.
The public can help decorate the sculpture by picking up a paint brush and help paint the flags and emblems of all ten competing nations from Saturday, May 25 to Monday, May 27.
Upon completion, the structure will be unveiled in all its glory on Saturday, June 1 as the first match is shown live on screens in Millennium Square.

Painting slots will be held every 30 minutes from 10am until 1pm, on a first-come-first-served basis. The paint and brushes are provided – just come along and take part.

Take part in the biggest celebration of cricket in the world
The huge art is part of a nationwide celebration for the ICC men’s cricket world cup in which all ten other host cities will hold public activities to bring the tournament together with the staggering amount of fans and the community as a whole to enjoy.
The first game will take place on Saturday, June 1 where the statue is going to be in the spotlight for the the game and following three fixtures taking place in Bristol.

“We know how creative Bristol is as a city, so we felt that this was the perfect opportunity to showcase its talent to the world and be a part of of the most-wanted sporting events in the world.”
