County Ground becomes Seat Unique Stadium
For a while in the early noughties, Bristol Bears were known as the Bristol Shoguns thanks to a sponsorship deal with Mitsubishi.
The O2 Academy was previously called the Carling Academy and now for the first time a sporting venue in Bristol has been renamed due to a naming rights deal.
For at least the next four years, Gloucestershire’s home in Ashley Down will be called the Seat Unique Stadium after the “premium ticketing marketplace”.
is needed now More than ever
Gloucestershire head of partnerships Joe Kaniecki said that this is “a significant moment in the club’s history”.
He said: “We’re passionate about not only ensuring the Seat Unique Stadium continues to grow as a domestic and international cricket arena, but also as a live entertainment venue to the benefit of our local communities.
“As a premium ticketing marketplace, Seat Unique will allow us to take the home of Gloucestershire Cricket to the next level in terms of spectator experience and offering.”
It is expected that thanks to the new sponsorship deal, more gigs and live events will be held in the stadium formerly known as the County Ground which in recent years has hosted the likes of Elton John, Tom Jones and Madness.
