Gloucestershire win One-Day Cup
Gloucestershire pulled off a thrilling six-run win in the final of the One-Day Cup against Surrey, keeping up their outstanding winning record at Lord’s.
Gloucestershire took eight wickets for 71 runs to complete an improbable turn-around and secure victory for the ninth time in ten finals.
The win was a perfect end for Gerraint Jones, who hit a half-century in his final game before his retirement.
Surrey, winning the toss, chose to put Gloucestershire in bat, but their opponents showed resilience in a dramatic come-back.
It was a significant triumph against a team that currently stood five places above them in the County Championship League.
