Magic from Mills as Gas Girls lamp Larkhall
Scarlett Mills scored four goals as Bristol Rovers Women’s beat Larkhall Athletic 8-0 to go top of the league.
The newly signed striker could have had even more, twice hitting the crossbar as the Gas Girls dominated from start to finish at Lockleaze Sports Centre.
Heléna Costa scored two, and Libby Bell and Abi Todd both netted once, with striker Charlie Rowlands deputising in goal due to international clearance not yet coming through for newly signed shot-stopper Jenna Hill

“It wasn’t the most challenging game but we kept our standards and getting four goals myself felt good,” Mills told Bristol24/7 after her first home game for the Gas Girls.
“The support here was great,” Mills added.
Gas Girls manager Nathan Hallett-Young called Mills an “unbelievable” signing for his team.
“She has really stepped up to be at the forefront. We said at the start here, this might be an opportunity for her. If she gets herself a bit more free than last week, she could have a hat-full, and obviously she did.
“The first one went in, the girls kept on finding her and she kept on putting it into the back of the net, so it was ideal.”
