Shrewsbury Town release TikTok diss track at Bristol Rovers manager Joey Barton

By Martin Booth  Wednesday Aug 31, 2022

Following a 1-1 draw at the Memorial Stadium between Bristol Rovers and Shrewsbury Town, the Shrews have taken to social media.

In an unexpected turn of events, Shrewsbury have released a diss track on TikTok taking aim at Rovers manager Joey Barton, who post-match had criticised Salop for their entertainment value.

The track sees new lyrics to The Real Slim Shady by Eminem, including the soon-to-be-classic rhyming couplet, “The Gas couldn’t hit a barn door all because of Bristol City loanee Taylor Moore.”

Other choice lyrics include:

“I can’t believe we’re in Joey’s mind rent free.”

“Best of luck keeping your League One status.”

“Two shots on target? The same as Bournemouth. Dead.”

Not many shots on the football field may have been fired, but shots have most definitely been fired across cyberspace.

How will Rovers social media team respond?
