Unbeaten Gas Girls looking forward to season run-in
Bristol Rovers Women have played just twice in two months, but are keeping the tempo high at their training sessions as they near the conclusion of their first season in more than a decade.
The Gas Girls are continuing to set the pace in the Gloucestershire County Women’s Football League division one, with ten wins from ten games; while the development team sit in second place in division two.
First team manager Nathan Hallett-Young said that the lack of game time is “always frustrating”, but the training sessions at Lockleaze Sports Centre “keep the rustiness away and keep the higher standards that we’ve been putting forward together”.
is needed now More than ever
Gas Girls captain Natty Coles said: “We definitely don’t want to get complacent. That’s one thing I don’t want, especially me as a player. I would hate for that to happen.
“It’s positive to know that the league is pretty much ours now. But we definitely want to make sure that we keep the tempo going, keep the standard high and carry that forward right to the end of the season and into next season as well.”

Hallett-Young added: “We are obviously in good stead in the league. We’re cooking very very well.
“I don’t want to jinx anything but we’re looking forward to continuing our fine form and keep the higher standards going forwards, and winning every game we can.”
