By Martin Booth  Wednesday Jul 11, 2018

It’s the biggest game of football that England have played for a generation, with the chance of getting into the World Cup final for the first time since 1966.

But where to watch the semi-final against Croatia at 7pm on Wednesday evening?

Here are just a few options:

In a church
Many of us will be praying for an England win tonight. So where better to watch the game than in a church? Since Euro 2000, Ebenezer Church has been showing all England games in major tournaments on a big screen in their church on Filton Avenue in Horfield.

In a brewery
Bristol Beer Factory’s tap room on North Street offers a selection of special offers and games shown on a large projector screen. Enjoy a toastie and pint for a fiver, and a sweepstake for beer prizes. A variety of world beers have also been rotating throughout the tournament.

At Ashton Gate
Thought to be the largest World Cup zone in the country, the fan village (pictured above) sold out for the semi-final but VIP hospitality packages remain available in the stadium’s Heineken Lounge with a two-course meal, half-time refreshments, access to a private bar and multiple screens to watch the big game.

With a pre-ordered discounted meal deal
Enjoy beer and a barbecue in the garden of the SouthBank Club. Beat the queues by pre-ordering a discounted meal deal – burger, salad, chips and a pint for £9.

‘No Ikea botherers’
Following some over-exuberant England fans celebrating in a certain Swedish shop following the quarter-final, Bristol Spirit in Redfield promise none of that rabble – as well as”Great seats. Shady bar. Massive screen. Delightful drinks. Lovely customers.”

In a bowling alley
With five bowling lanes, karaoke room and pool tables, The Lanes on Nelson Street also has Ray’s Pizza in its kitchen.

In a nightclub
Motion have been showing all of England’s games on an outdoor big screen, with a barbecue and cold beers for football fans.

Across the bridge
Watch the game in comfort at Clifton College’s Abbots Leigh Sports Ground. All World Cup matches have been shown on the TVs and 10ft screen in the sports bar, which is also offering special discounts.

With a cocktail
Throughout the tournament, The Grace on Gloucester Road has been offering customers the chance to try a different cocktail connected with one of the countries playing that day.

In a cinema
Sit back and enjoy the game on a comfy chair at Cinema de Lux in Cabot Circus. Bring a drink in and don’t worry about it getting knocked from your hand when Harry Kane scores the winner.
