Bristol Bears star Semi Radradra starts fundraising following Fiji cyclones
Setting out with the ambition to raise £1000, Semi Radradra has already raised double that initial target in just the space of a few hours in an online fundraiser for the Think Pacific Foundation.
The Bristol Bears star, who is also captain of the Fiji rugby team, is hoping to raise both awareness and vital funds for the thousands of Fijian civilians affected by two recent cyclones.
More than 10,000 people remain in emergency evacuation centres in Fiji after cyclones Ana and Yasa rocked the islands in the South Pacific.
is needed now More than ever
Radradra is giving away a signed Fijian shirt from the 2020 for the person who donates the largest amount, with everyone who donates included in a raffle to win a signed ball, signed Bears shirt and signed pair of boots worn by Radradra in Bristol’s record-breaking recent win against Bath at Ashton Gate.

Radradra joined Bristol Bears from Bordeaux in July 2020, earning himself a place in the Gallagher Premiership team of the season and shortlisted for the 2019/20 EPCR European Player of the Season.
The 28-year-old, who previously played in the Australian National Rugby League, wrote himself into the Bristol history books when he set up Harry Randall to score in the opening seconds of the 2020 European Challenge Cup final.
Radradra grew up in the village of Somosomo on the Fijian island of Taveuni. He has represented his country at both rugby union and rugby league, and is widely recognised to be one of the best rugby players in the world.
