Rampant Radrada guides Bears to historic win against Gloucester
The Bristol Bears official Twitter account summed it up best. In the first half against Gloucester, summer signing Semi Radrada was “out there playing chess, while the rest of us are playing checkers”.
The Fijian flyer propelled Bristol to their first win at Kingsholm in 14 years and their seventh consecutive victory.
While Radradra managed just six touches in his debut against Saracens last week, this time he reminded the world what he is capable of.
is needed now More than ever
He scored one try and set up two more on Friday evening, running 130 metres with ball in hand in a talismanic performance against the West Country rivals.
“He is pretty special, isn’t he?” said Gloucester head coach George Skivington. “There were two or three showings of what he’s made of. He is an outstanding player.”
Former England fly-half Andy Goode was less subtle:

Bristol’s 33-24 victory means that they retain second spot in the Premiership standings, eight points behind Exeter who visit Ashton Gate on Tuesday.
Director of rugby Pat Lam said that despite some “really good rugby”, the team still made too many mistakes in defence after going into the lead, keeping Gloucester in the game, “which was a pity as we could have put more pressure on”.
He added: “We’ve got to recover quickly, we’ve only got four days until Exeter at home… It’s a big week ahead.”
