Top takeaways to end your night out
Well done.
You’ve found yourself among the elite, with those who all agree that there is only one motive for going out: the end of night takeaway.
Nothing beats gracelessly tucking into your order and discussing the evening’s misadventures, while naively
convincing yourself that chips will eradicate any looming hangover.
It’s common knowledge that Bristol’s nightlife remains unrivalled, and the takeaway scene is no different.
is needed now More than ever
The Grecian
2 Cromwell Road, Montpelier, BS6 5AA
The Grecian is a Bristol institution and rite of passage that has been located just off Gloucester Road for almost 50 years.
Perfect after a night out at Love Inn, Crofters Rights, or any other local watering holes.
However, don’t be deceived by the name!
While the Grecian specialises in Greek delicacies (tzatziki, moussaka and every pitta dish under the sun), it also offers stone-baked pizzas, kebabs and burgers.
Guaranteed not to break the bank, it is an essential outing to leave both your wallets and stomachs feeling full.
Taka Taka
Clifton Triangle, Broad Quay & Rupert Street
Recently voted the best drunk food spot by students in Bristol, we’re sticking in Greece for our next takeaway must.
With three locations including two in the city centre, you’re probably not far from one.
Favourites on the menu are their juicy souvlaki wraps and loaded gyros fries.
Nothing ventures above £6, ensuring a feast at great value.
M&M Kebabs and Burgers
Avonmouth, Keynsham, Henbury and Clifton
Hear me out.
Next time you walk out of a club on the Triangle, resist the urge to gravitate towards Jason Donervan.
Instead carry on a little further up Whiteladies Road and you’ll arrive at M&M.
The chips are nicer, the portions more generous and the menu doesn’t include the price tag of the pun.
It does, however, include chicken, kebabs, burgers and pizza.
Sorento Pizza
4 Triangle South, Clifton, BS8 1EY
This takeaway on the Triangle is a little bit of class open until 3am every day.
Here you can end the evening (or begin the morning) with a taste of Italy and tuck into a woodfi red pizza with your friends.
A little pricier, but well worth the money and perfect for sharing.
If you fancy something lighter, the garlic bread at £2.95 presents a perfect alternative. Delizioso.
Yoyo Burger
6 Byron Place, Clifton, BS8 1JT
Opposite Sorrento sits YoYo Burger, a burger establishment that prides itself on offering substance and style. It’s
most definitely at the higher end of the takeaway spots we’ve explored.
You can indulge in pretty much any type of beef, chicken, or veggie burger you can think of.
In need of even more adventure? Try the ostrich, wagyu or lobster options!
