Is a cycle hangar heading to your street?
Communal street bike sheds which take up one car parking space are being rolled out across neighbourhoods in Bristol.
The bike hangars will be installed in Ashley, Bedminster, Clifton, Easton, Frome Vale, Knowle, Lawrence Hill, Southville, St George West, and Windmill Hill, after community groups had their bids accepted by TravelWest.
Bristol’s first on-road cycle hangar, a secure storage unit for six bikes, was installed on Eldon Terrace in Bedminster in March 2016.

Spaces in the hangar, which takes up the place of just one car, cost £25 to rent for one year by local residents.
