The Island takes over Bristol Music

This year, The Island is ten years old and as part of its celebrations, the team is taking over the M Shed’s Bristol Music: Seven Decades of Sound exhibition, showcasing some of the alternative elements of Bristol’s storming music scene.

Activities are being added all the time, but already confirmed are:

Spoken word performances by acclaimed local poets Malaika Kegode and Bridget Hart, based around locals’ music memories of Bristol, as well as their own original work.

Getting Ready workshops by Bristol-based headdress brand We Creatures – a Pom Pom Crown Headdress session and a Geometric Glitter Goddess session – that will evoke the excitement of preparing for a big night out in the city!
