- Euan McGregor, Chris Bennett, David Smith RSW
Exhibition bringing together three of Lime Tree Gallery’s most admired artists, all members of distinguished Art Societies, and all known for their technical ability and imaginative use of colour and light.
The son of architects, Euan McGregor’s heritage may be reflected in his sharp lines, block colours and graphic style, sometimes reminiscent of Art Deco, but with a modern twist (Jubilee Pool, Penzance, pictured). His influences are wide ranging, and Euan is very much a young artist to watch.
David Smith RSW is one of Scotland’s best loved painters, and one of the mainstays of Lime Tree Gallery. His enthusiasm for the outdoors is evident in his work, and his vigorous and lively paintings reflect his character and his love of the Highlands and Islands.
is needed now More than ever
Chris Bennett is a prominent member of the Royal Institute of Oil Painters, educated at the Slade School of Art, and his work shows the rigour expected by both institutions. A talented portrait painter, he is equally at home with landscapes and still life, giving his work a wide range. His fresh brushwork is much admired and gives his paintings a lovely lightness of touch.
A powerful exhibition of painterly works by three very different but complementary artists.
