Rowdy & Wilde

Date: Friday, Oct 27 2017 - Saturday, Nov 4 2017
Venue: Clifton Fine Art
Artists
Rowdy, Aida Wilde

“Bristol native Rowdy is best know for his graffiti art, found in hidden street corners. However, urban spaces are not only his canvas but provide the visual stimuli that appear in his abstracted cityscapes.

“His new collection brings him home as he explores the vistas of Bristol and beyond once again. You might just catch a glimpse of one of his famous crocs too…

“Iranian-born Aida Wilde’s screenprints have adorned spaces both indoor and out, and all project messages she feels passionately about. With a goal to merge both graphic and the classical in her work, her pieces echo a bygone era but always with her overriding vivid designs.

“Priding herself on her diverse screen-printing technique, Aida’s prints push this once traditional art form to its limits, producing highly collectible pieces.

“Although Rowdy & Wilde may appear very different to one another at a glance, the underlying factor that threads them together is their drive and discipline, with a methodical thought process that spurs them to create in their individual practices. The use of colour and building up layers of ink or paint is vital to their work, and this comes across in what shall be exhibited.”
