Sightings
The second exhibition from Bedminster-based Caraboo Projects, Sightings brings together six artists who are exploring themes such as shamanism, divination, witchcraft and Victorian spiritualism. The imagery and subject matter that these artists collectively move between borrows from the mystical and the everyday.
Sightings will present painting, drawing and sculpture by Laura Bygrave, Alex Crocker, Jacqui Hallum (Untitled, detail, pictured), Karolina Ptaszkowska, Ross Taylor and a new site specific work by Lucy Stein.
The pieces will sit alongside objects from the artists’ personal possessions, thus creating a layering of works which through their placement and display will oscillate together to create a single voice.
