Lisa Scantlebury: Many Long Slow Waits
Solo exhibition by Lisa Scantlebury, a visual artist who works with sculpture and print and is also co-director of Plenderleith Scantlebury – fabricators of fine art and design based at Spike Island.
Lisa’s artwork falls into two categories: sculptural installations which include constructed objects, print and found objects made for gallery exhibitions, and temporary works for commissions in the public realm.
Lisa studied BA Ceramics at University of Wales Institute, Cardiff. She teaches pottery and works in clay with a focus on the form and function of pottery, and is currently writing a critical exploration of clay titled A jug to put on my back, inspired by the work of Czech graphic artist Nadežda Plíšková.
