See The Full Picture

Date: Monday, Jul 1 2019 - Friday, Jul 5 2019
Venue: John Wesley’s Chapel / The New Room

Exhibition showcasing creative work by people with lived experience of multiple disadvantage from across Bristol.

The exhibition is part of a National Lottery Community Fund campaign to mark the first-ever Multiple Disadvantage Day (July 3), which aims to reduce the stigma experienced by some of the most disadvantaged and forgotten about people in our society, and encourages members of the public to #seethefullpicture.

The website is built around 12 case studies which detail the ‘true stories’ of people facing Multiple Disadvantage and their journey in life so far. Childhood neglect, domestic abuse, homelessness and poor mental health, are just some of many challenges explored in the true stories.

The complexity of accessing services and trying to get help is also highly evident; as are the hopes and aspirations of those telling their story.
