After Hours at the RWA
Experience the RWA galleries after hours, with drinks, drop-in workshops and three separate exhibitions to explore.
Visit the Sculpture Open Exhibition and browse hundreds of works submitted by artists from across the country and beyond.
Afraid of the dark? Experience an eerie installation by invited artist Ana Maria Pacheco – if you’re brave enough!
is needed now More than ever
Next, browse an eclectic mix of animal inspired artworks, including wallpaper designs, sculptures and sketches, in the RWA’s major exhibition Gaudier-Brzeska: Disputing the Earth.
And discover the symbolic and otherworldly art of Paul Thirkell RWA, in his exhibition The Shadow of a Dream, which explores cycles of growth and decay in nature, culture and politics.
And once you’ve been inspired by the exhibitions, why not have a go at creating your own work of art? Grab your friends (and your free drink) and get creative in the Sculpture Lab. Mountains of cardboard and other crafty bits that you can use to make your own sculpture, which will then take pride of place in the indoor sculpture park.
The RWA Shop will also be open on the night, offering limited editions prints, books, artists’ materials, stationery and gifts for art lovers.
