Carol Peace: 25 Years – a Bristol Celebration
- Artists
- Carol Peace
In collaboration with Bristol 24/7 and other artists and performers, Bristol sculptor Carol Peace – creator of strikingly beautiful, serene and moving sculptures of adults and children at rest, reflecting, being – celebrates 25 years of being an artist in Bristol with this 11-day celebration of sculpture, drawing, painting, words, circus and music, with workshops and feasting.
The main exhibition event will showcase Carol Peace’s work, from the life-size to the minuscule, referencing the last 25 years and with the drawings and paintings that are integral to her work.
A series of workshops and other initiatives are being organised, in collaboration with Bristol 24/7, to encourage and showcase the work of the young people of Bristol, culminating in an Autumn Feast on Thursday, November 16, in partnership with Square Food Foundation.

Bristol-based acoustic trio Three Cane Whale will be playing on Tuesday, November 14. Described by The Guardian as “exquisite, elegant, atmospheric and charmingly quirky”, their music shares similar influences as Carol Peace’s work and this event promises to be a fascinating journey through the landscape of the West Country.
Private View Thur, Nov 9. Exhibition continues Nov 10-19. For more info, visit carolpeace.com/shows
