A listening event celebrating the best in audio storytelling from around the world on the theme of crime and punishment. Expect tales of transgression that reflect the very darkest of the human soul as well as stories of mercy and redemption.
It’s also offers a chance to explore the old police cells on Nelson Street – original early 20th century cells deep beneath Bristol’s streets.
There will be podcasts, radio documentaries and dramas that rip up radio form, take narrative risks and go right out there on a limb.

In The Dark is a collaborative project between radio producers and radio enthusiasts.
Its aims to create a mini-revolution in the way people think about spoken word radio by lifting it out of its traditional settings and celebrating it in new and exciting ways.
Over the last five years In The Dark have commissioned new works from producers around the world, and staged countless live listening events at festivals, theatres, cinemas and museums.
