Emma Carroll
Celebrated children’s fiction writer, Emma Carroll, signs copies of her new novel, The Somerset Tsunami.
Based, chillingly, on real-life events, The Somerset Tsunami tells of the paranoia and superstitions of seventeenth-century England.
Fortune Sharpe is hiding something. A girl dressed as a boy, seeking work at the manor house of Barrow Hill. But the rich folk who live in the mansion have odd secrets of their own, and the suspicious owner is busy hunting for witches. Then a tsunami rolls far inland, engulfing the house and all around it. Will the young heir to the manor be drowned? And why is Fortune now on trial for her life?
