Special guest at the monthly writers’ gathering is Tom Vowler whose debut short story collection, The Method, won the Scott Prize and the Edge Hill Readers’ Prize. He is also the author of the novels What Lies Within and That Dark Remembered Day and his short story, Debt, won 3rd prize in the 2014 Bristol Short Story Prize and is included in his new collection, Dazzling the Gods. He is also an Arvon tutor, associate lecturer at Plymouth University and edits literary journal, Short Fiction.
He’ll be discussing short fiction, his role as an editor, collaborations between editor and writer, short story collections and much more.
There will also readings of works-in-progress from local writers. Anyone wishing to read work should submit in advance here.
