Novel Nights – Workshop
Novel Nights present a two-hour course designed to give writers confidence in reading their work in public.
The small group session will cover: techniques for relaxing, tips on what piece to choose and what to avoid, posture, mic techniques, voice technique, timing and what constitutes a good reading.
Those attending are encouraged to bring along a short piece of writing that they would like to practice reading out – maximum 800 words. The event is limited to ten places to ensure individual attention.
is needed now More than ever
The course will be run by Grace Palmer, founder of Novel Nights and Creative Writing tutor at the Folk House. Grace has been hosting events at Novel Nights for over four years and chooses work for submission at Novel Nights. She performs her work widely in public.
