Special guest at the monthly writers’ gathering is award winning author, Tyler Keevil, who will discuss how music can influence the way writers work: both as a source of inspiration and as a means to help maintain creative focus, and keep a project on track.
Tyler’s most recent novel, No Good Brother, was inspired in part by the music of his brother Jonathan Keevil, a professional composer and filmmaker.
Tyler Keevil grew up in Vancouver and in his mid-twenties moved to Wales.He writes novels, short stories, screenplays, and non-fiction, and has received numerous awards for his work, including The Missouri Review‘s Jeffrey E. Smith Editors’ Prize, the Wales Book of the Year People’s Prize, and the Writers’ Trust of Canada / McClelland and Stewart Journey Prize.
