Bristol’s distinctive Festival of Literature returns with 10 days of great events, performances and workshops in unexpected places.

Highlights include bestselling crime writer, Sarah Hilary; game-changing novelist, journalist and broadcaster, Nikesh Shukla; Sufi poetry at Easton Jamia Mosque; crime, thrills & horror in the old Bridewell police cells; and a day-long writers’ retreat with workshops led by leading writers including Jane Shemilt and Gareth L Powell.
