Brilliant poet, Lemn Sissay, celebrates the launch of his new memoir, My Name is Why.

“Lemn will read extracts from his work and share poignant moments from his life in what promises to be a powerfully moving, thought-provoking evening. It promises to prompt us all to reappraise our own responses to setbacks and adversity and the nature of life itself.”

He will be signing copies of his work after the reading.

Lemn Sissay MBE is a British author and broadcaster. Sissay was the official poet of the 2012 London Olympics, has been Chancellor of the University of Manchester since 2015, and joined the Foundling Museum‘s Board of Trustees two years later, having previously been appointed one of the museum’s Fellows.
