Milk Busters ft. Douglas Walker presents Of Christmas Past

Date: Sunday, Dec 2 2018
Time: 8:00pm
Venue: The Wardrobe Theatre
Price: £12

Milk Poetry and Chuckle Busters join forces to celebrate Christmas with a night of poetic comedy and comedic poetry featuring Douglas Walker, Robert Garnham and Tom Denbigh.

Douglas Walker unravels a shocking true story with his ingenious new comic play. An absurd and incredible one-man epic, encompassing a dizzying cast of characters spanning one hundred years of history. The only thing more devastating than finding out that Santa doesn’t exist is finding out that he does.

Robert Garnham’s work deals with LGBT issues and social representation and he has headlined at the top spoken word nights in the UK such as Bang Said the Gun in London, and Evidently in Manchester. He was one of the poets from the Nationwide adverts and has performed at the Albert Hall in 2018, the Duplex in New York and the King Kong Klub in Berlin.

Tom Denbigh loves poetry almost as much as he loves dogs. When asked why he has not yet written about dogs his reply was simply: “I am unworthy”. Tom has won multiple slams and is a regular on the Bristol poetry scene. He came second in the national Hammer and Tongue poetry slam 2017. Tom has a PhD in roots and soil loss. He really enjoys horrendous puns, hence if you ask him about his “ground-breaking” research, he’ll “soil” himself with delight.
