Robert Woodshaw and Lucy-Anne Holmes

Date: Wednesday, Mar 20 2019
Time: 7:30pm
Venue: Foyles
Price: £3

Lucy-Anne Holmes and Robert Woodshaw discuss the passions and frustrations that led them to write about sex and politics.

Lucy-Anne Holmes is an award-winning writer and founder of the hugely successful No More Page 3 campaign. She’ll be talking about her memoir Don’t Hold My Head Down, the story of how she found feminism through sex and took on the The Sun over Page 3.

Robert Woodshaw will be discussing his debut novel, The Iron Bird, which takes the premise of Animal Farm and applies it to the life of Margaret Thatcher, a bird of prey. What turned a grocer’s daughter from Grantham into the most powerful woman in the world? What put all that infamous iron into her soul?
