Books & Spoken Word
Mark Lewis and Peter F Hamilton
BristolCon Fringe presents leading science fiction writers Mark Lewis and Peter F Hamilton.
Peter F. Hamilton sold his first professional story to Fear magazine in 1987, and subsequently began work on his first novel Mindstar Rising, the start of the futuristic Greg Mandel detective series. Since then his books have primarily been Space Operas, including The Night’s Dawn trilogy, the Commonwealth Saga, the Void trilogy, as well as several stand-alone books and short story collections. In 2015 he published The Secret Throne, the first of The Queen Of Dreams, a children’s fantasy trilogy, which featured his own children in lead roles, which was an attempted bribe to get them to read more. He is currently writing another science fiction trilogy called Salvation, the second of which, Salvation Lost, will be published in September / October 2019.
Mark Lewis has had over 25 short stories published as well as several poems and has had several scripts performed. He also regularly performs his own work at spoken word events, mainly in South West England but also Oxford, Brighton, London, Cardiff, Weston Super Mare and Paris. Mark is working on two novels, one is a Cyberpunk epic, the other a tale of conflicting alternate realities. Mark is a member of the Clockhouse London Writers and the British Fantasy Society.
