The launch of the 2019 Bristol Short Story Prize with readings from four local, award winning short story writers, and a discussion on short stories and writing competitions. The writers taking part are L.O. Evans (pictured), Jess Farr-Cox (pictured), Rebecca Lloyd and Freya Morris.

L.O. Evans was shortlisted for the 2018 Bristol Short Story Prize. He is working on his first novel while completing a Creative Writing MA at Bath Spa University, where he previously won the 2012 Poetry Prize.

Jess Farr-Cox was shortlisted for the 2018 Bristol Short Story Prize. She teaches in the Department of English at Bristol University. She is working on a novel and short story collection.

Rebecca Lloyd won the inaugural Bristol Short Story Prize in 2008. Since then she has taught Creative Writing workshops and has had four short story collections and two novels published.

Freya Morris has had short stories published in numerous publications both UK and internationally, and been shortlisted for a number of awards. Her collection, This is (not about) David Bowie will be published in November 2018.
