Raise the Bar – Spoken Word Family Hour

To mark Raise The Bar’s third birthday celebrations and the Bristol Family Arts Festival, Watershed is hosting a special spoken word event for families. There will be performances by poets Sara Hirsch, who is a former UK Slam Champion and has had her debut poetry collection for children published recently, and former Scottish Poetry and European Slam Champion, MiKo Berry. There will also be a chance for families to create and share their own work too.
The event will take place in Watershed’s Café Bar between 15:00-16:00. It’s most suitable for children aged 6-11, though the all the family are welcome.
