The Friends of Redland Library host their latest Desert Island Books evening on the theme of books and the sea.

Guests are: Alon Aviram (Co-founder Bristol Cable, Investigative reporter), Lucy English (Novelist, poet, Reader in Creative Writing, Bath Spa University), Dr John McTague (Lecturer, Department of English, University of Bristol), Colin Moody (Radio and TV presenter, photojournalist, artist), Cllr Paul Smith (Cabinet minister for housing, Bristol City Council).

The panelists will select one book on the main theme for the event; and a second ‘wildcard book’, being a book that they have enjoyed and would recommend to others.
