The act of reclaiming the dancefloor from the grips of the patriarchy may seem like an insurmountable task, but Repercussion’s liberating new night that celebrates performance and dance music in equal measure seeks to rectify club culture’s allegiance to capitalism. Born out of a frustration of feeling unwelcome in spaces that were originally built by marginalised communities, the late-night party will celebrate artistry in an anti-discriminatory, inclusive, sex-positive and gender liberating environment.
Providing the visual entertainment will be Ania Varez and Holly Beasley-Garrigan, while acid house favourites iona and Ellie Stokes, as well as the outré mask-wearing DJ Bus Replacement Service and more, will be on tune duty.
