What your mum thinks DJing is is what Mix Master Mike does: holding world titles for turntablism, he’s the global authority for everything scratching and selecting. For him, DJing is both a science and art, developed and learned with expert skill and precision.

He’s worked with the biggest names of the golden age – the Beastie Boys to Cypress Hill, to name a few – but, when he steps up to the turntables, this isn’t your average DJ set: his energetic showcase is akin more towards live performance, fuelled by a love of underground song, be it hip-hop, funk or bass.
