- The Antics Joke Show, Up The Antics
The Antics Joke Show returns with another fine-looking sketch, stand-up and improv lineup.
Featuring sketches from Great British Mysteries, who have just returned from their second sell-out run at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival. Expect comedy sketches with a historical twist, as they delve into the annals of history to produce pure comedic gold.
“Gloriously silly, wonderfully observed” Time Out
is needed now More than ever
Plus improv from Up The Antics, bringing their signature style of improv with quick thinking, committed acting and extremely hilarious scenes. Back from their second run at the Edinburgh Fringe, the Antics are one of the most popular improv teams in Bristol.
“A troupe that can be relied on to deliver laughs every minute” – EdFringeReview
Stand-up from James Trickey, a 21-year-old comedian and student at Bristol University. He has been performing stand up for just over a year and a half and managed to take the Runner Up of the Chortle Student Comedy Award 2018. He spends most of his time gigging around Bristol but has previously appeared at Latitude Festival and the Edinburgh Fringe.
“Such well-developed writing skills” Steve Bennett, Chortle
.. and Sarah Alli, a 22-year-old stand-up who clearly doesn’t understand how to use an engineering degree. With 2 years of comedy experience under her belt, Sarah has become an expert in crafting amusing nonsense. Her set of carefully curated silliness will leave you a little confused but full of giggles.
7.30pm, £5, St George’s Glass Studio. Ages 14+.
