Plus Charmian Hughes, who started her performing life as a clown but couldn’t keep the mime vow of silence so ran away to be a stand-up comic. From the comedy clubs to the Houses of Parliament, Charmian has been wowing audiences for over thirty years and taken seven different solo shows to the Edinburgh fringe.

This year alone she has compered Glastonbury, featured in an Edinburgh production by the Comedians Theatre Company, and done a successful tour of New Zealand where she was hailed as ‘a great entertainer not to be missed’ and ‘a class above other stand-ups’.
