- Tom Taylor
Chuckle Busters bring us one of the circuit’s very finest comics (back to the city where it all started for him), plus two of its up-and-coming stars, in the plush surroundings of Bristol Grammar School’s 1532 Performing Arts Centre.
Bristol-born John Robins has been one of the foremost exponents of “complicated joy” (The Guardian) since 2005, winning the Edinburgh Comedy Award for Best Show in 2017. His show with friend and fellow comedian Elis James on commercial digital indie radio station Radio X has one of the country’s most popular podcasts and has spawned two phenomenally successful live tours as well as a best-selling book Elis and John Present the Holy Vible: The Book The Bible Could Have Been.
“One of the most naturally gifted comedians I’ve seen” (The Telegraph)
is needed now More than ever
Support from:
Maisie Adam
A young comedian from Yorkshire, Maisie Adam only started on the comedy circuit in 2016 but her anecdotal material and self-deprecating charm have quickly won her praise up and down the country. Winner of the prestigious So You Think You’re Funny award at the Edinburgh Fringe in 2017, Maisie followed that up the following year with a nomination for Best Newcomer at the Edinburgh Comedy Awards.
“So natural is her stage presence and the command she radiates from it” (The Scotsman)
Tom Taylor
Multi-award winning comedian and creator of The Charlie Montague Mysteries, Tom Taylor has received high praise from audiences and critics alike. His unique brand of musical comedy is smart and silly in equal measure and he boasts an impressive stock of quirky, and very funny, musical one-liners.
“Excellent… beautifully daft” (Sunday Times)
