Richard Gadd: Monkey See Monkey Do

- Richard Gadd
2016 Lastminute.com Edinburgh Comedy Award winner Richard Gadd brings his acclaimed new show to the Cube.
Gadd made a name for himself with off-the-wall shows featuring drugs, sex, and gratuitous violence. After last year’s hit Waiting For Gaddot, Gadd decided to come clean about the man behind the public persona, the personal upheavals he had in his life that led to it and a bare-all look at the very real monkey he has had on his back for years. Monkey See Monkey Do is a fresh insight into mental illness in the modern age. “A stand-up routine that goes to the depths of who he is – and what it means to be a Man.”
“The young Scot’s charisma and commitment to his art are extraordinary…Gadd is a true one-off with what could well be a glittering future ahead of him” Daily Telegraph
is needed now More than ever
“A finale that is unexpectedly direct and moving. In a city full of comedians addressing their mental health issues, this is the riskiest and oddest and most memorable of the lot” The Times
“A thoughtful and highly original examination of masculinity” The Arts Desk
“The rawness of the story, the overwhelming experience of the multimedia presentation, and Gadd’s exceptional performance mean this is a show that will stay with you” Chortle
