Knowle West Lantern Parade and sign unveiling

A lantern parade and Hollywood-style sign are set to brighten up Filwood Broadway – the high street at the heart of the Knowle West community in south Bristol.

Led by the Filwood Fantastic group at Filwood Community Centre, the lantern parade is the first of its kind to take place in the area since the iconic Knowle West parades of the 1980s.

The Hollywood-style sign has been made by the Filwood Fantastic group with help from Knowle West Media Centre: The Factory.

The parade will get underway along the Filwood Broadway in Knowle West at 5.30pm on Friday 1 November – with the sign unveiled during it.

It will be followed by one of the new regular music nights at the centre. Hosted by Arts2Life UK, this will run from 7.30pm to 10.30pm and feature an all-female line-up of musicians performing.
