Bristol Bad Film Club celebrates International Women’s Day in its own distinctive style with a screening of this woeful slice of action crap starring Cynthia Rothrock as a street fighter who sets out to avenge her sister’s death at the hands of a crazed martial arts rapist targeting women who resemble his ex-wife. It’s directed with breathtaking ineptitude by crudmeister Godfrey Ho (under the pseudonym Godfrey Hall), whose single-minded CV of shame includes The Ninja Force, Ninja the Protector, Full Metal Ninja and Ninja Terminator. Although it feels like a ’70s exploitation flick, Undefeatable was actually released in 1993 and would have languished in obscurity had the internet not discovered – and sniggered loudly at – its concluding smackdown, which has been described as “the lamest (and most homoerotic) fight scene of all time”.
Twentieth Century Flicks’ resident Australian feminist Tara Judah is the guest speaker at this screening, which will benefit Bristol Women’s Voice. Advance tickets, price £5, are available here.
