This latest bid for the money-spinning “new Full Monty/Calendar Girls” accolade does the heart-warming Britcom thing with the true story of a bunch of Cornish fishermen whose part-time sea shanty band hits the big time after signing to Universal Records.
The groan-worthy tagline? “The UK’s number one buoy band”. James Purefoy and Bristol’s very own Tuppence Middleton lead the cast.
The Curzon’s outdoor screening takes place at Salthouse Fields, where you’ll find a pop-up bar, courtesy of the Salthouse Pub, gourmet fish’n’chips, and Hector the coffee van. Doors open at 7pm, with the Barnacle Buoys performing from 7.15pm and the film starting at approximately 8pm. There will also be plenty of fund-raising for the cinema’s ‘Fix Our Roof’ fund, so take plenty of coins (and notes) to chuck in the bucket. Go here for further information
