A superbly filmed, award-winning wildlife documentary exploring the contention that the decline of the world’s songbirds might just mirror our own. And these tuneful beady-eyed beaksters certainly have enough to contend with, from pollution to habitat destruction, climate change, indiscriminate use of insecticides and Southern Europeans’ habit of blasting them out of the skies in huge numbers and scoffing them. Even Tiddles is fingered, as predation by the domestic pussy cat is wreaking havoc on bird populations.
This screening will be introduced and followed by a Q&A with Tim Scoones and Stephen Moss, former Executive Producers of the Beeb’s Springwatch.
