Five Easy Pieces

Director
Bob Rafelson
Certificate

Running Time
98 mins

Bob Rafelson’s ‘nam-era road movie of sorts, though it’s more of a superbly crafted character study of drifter Jack Nicholson – apparently an itinerant oil rigger who turns out to be a fugitive from a middle-class family of musicians.

The film was acrually released in 1970, but we’ll let that slide as it’s making a welcome return to the screen in the 1971: The Year Hollywood Went Independent strand of Cinema Rediscovered.
